screentips not showing

excel 365. i have a sheet with several shapes on it, when i hover the mouse over it the screentip does not show...it has in the past. the "show feature description in screentips" is chosen. i've tried at home and at work using new spreadsheets and it does not work.

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
