Morning all,

Im putting together a process which includes lots of screen shots but when I try to capture a filter in drop-down it disappears before I can capture the image.

Is there a way of doing this?

Thanks in advance.
Stuart

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
If you have a reasonably recent version of Windows, you should have the 'Snipping Tool' available. If you start that, click the drop-down beside Delay and choose, say, 5 (seconds).
Now click 'New' on the Snipping Tool, click your filter drop-down in Excel and wait till the 5 seconds is up. The snipping tool should then allow you to capture your shot with the drop-down still down.

Hi Peter, many thanks for your reply. Its 2010, I know some places still use it. However, I dont see the delay option you refer to in the Snipping Tool.
Thanks, Stuart

2010 is your Excel version, but what is your Windows version? I think what I have described may only be available from Windows 10, not Windows 7. Time to upgrade??

So, what happens if you just click the drop-down then press the 'print screen' button on your keyboard and paste that image then crop as desired?
