I am looking for macro to do the following
Input numbers into one specific cell and get a running total in a different specified cell.
This is for a scoring sheet where the result gets displayed on a monitor. it would make the computer operators job easier if the figures could be entered into the same cell rather than a column of cells as they are doing now.
Any help would be appreciated.

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hello,

You should describe the sheet structure ... and be ... more .. specific ...

Maybe something along the lines of
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
    If Target.CountLarge > 1 Then Exit Sub
    If Target.Address(0, 0) = "A1" Then
        Range("B1").Value = Range("B1").Value + Target.Value
    End If
End Sub
This needs to go in the sheet module, for the sheet you want it to work on.

It is a scoring sheet for the darts game of 501 played between two teams, say a Red team and a Blue team. The red teams scores could be put into A1 and and tallied in B1. As the game starts at 501 and ends at 0 the tallied score is subtracted from 501 by formula and the remainder shown in C1. On sheet 2 which has been set up to display on a monitor cells C1 and A1 on sheet 1 are referenced to show the score remaining and the last players score. The blue team could be set up in cells A2,B2 and C2 using another macro. The main problem may be running two macro's at the same time.
