I don't know if excel will work for this so let me know thoughts.

Trying to create a macro to create a racing schedule. Criteria :
Multiple clubs, each club might have 1 to 6 teams. 2 teams race at a time against each other.
Each race might be a 3 of 3, 4 of 4, 5 of 5, or best 3 out of 5 (determined by the host). Generally no more than 24 or 25 heats per day so number of races depends on how many hearts selected per race... 3 of 5s usually are treated as 6 races in a day.
Divisions exist and teams are split out to particular divisions... each division only races teams within their division.
Teams must have at least 5 races in between racing (team a races in race 1, can't race again until race 7, and if not possible a break must be inserted). Obviously bigger breaks are better.

Ideal, but not required, to not have clubs race back to back as it causes delays.

Mostly curious if something like this would be possible, if excel would be best, but if any suggestions on where to start they would be greatly appreciated!

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
