Hi,

Not sure if there is a fix fo this...

Currently I export data (a lot) from my online portal and open the excel file which works great, but, when I click 'Save As' it defaults to: Capture1 (picture)
Capture1.JPG

I then have to go to the dropdown menu to change it everytime to: Capture2 (picture)
Capture2.JPG

I already have the default detting in 'Options' selected: Capture3
Capture3.JPG

But everytime I try to 'Save As' it constantly defaults to Web Page (*.htm;*.html), I have several sheets to do each day and sometimes I forget to change the file type...
How can I fix this? is there something in the Registry I can change?

Many thanks for your help.

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Other than trying Save instead of Save As, the only other option I can suggest is a workbook level macro that you could invoke with a keyboard combination. Perhaps 'save as' picks what Excel thinks is suitable for the content and ignores the Save option setting.

Thanks, I'll give that a go...
