I need to create an Excel template for our admins but I have a couple of macros that I need to include for them.

I noticed when I saved the the file as an xlt file the module with macro wasn't saved with it. The only workaround I can thing about is to export the macro that I have then have them import it when they save the file as either an xlsm or xlb file.

Has anyone found another way way of creating an xlt file without losing the macro module?

Thank you for your help,

Michael

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Can you save it as an .xltm file? (the macro-enabled file format for an Excel template for Excel 2007 and later)

Thank you. I didn't know there was an xltm. That answers the question. I didn't check all the options, I've just seen the xlt file not the xltm.

We are running 2016 so we should have this file type.
