Hello, I have an excel file that gives the above warning message when saving. I've tried to find references to any .xl. files with find but this gives zero results. Is there another way I can find unsaved documents in an excel file?

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
If they are unsaved, they won't have a file extension yet, so a search for xl won't find them. What appears in the Edit Links dialog on the Data tab?

Hello, I'd looked there, no links are appearing. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Do you have any references set to other files in the VB Editor?

You wouldn't have to actually have any code in there, just a reference set. It's the only thing I can think of offhand that could cause that message without appearing in the Edit Links dialog.

Thanks Rory, will check when I'm back in the office.
