I have a report that runs over night. I've built an excel macro that runs and formats the data the way everyone likes it.
One of the tabs has a pivot table. In the Row fields I have in this order: Order #, Part #, Part Desc.
In the Values fields I have Qty, and Qty in stock.
By using this layout, I can have a summary view, by collapsing all the fields so that high level information is given at the order number level. Then, users can drill down into the orders they want to look at closer by expanding the detail next to each order #.
I would like to store this data on an internal website. Is it possible to save this file as a webpage to that the pivot table functionality still exists? I know I could just save it as an .XLS file and direct people to the link, but this data will be refreshed throughout the day.
When I try doing "Save As" within excel and choosing webpage, it gets rid of the pivot table and only saves the text that is visible.
Any ideas on how I can get to this?
