Save as CSV with quotes...

This is the sort of thing I was sure had been covered here a thousand times, but I'll be damned if I can find a simple solution.

I'm using Excel 2007 and trying to save a simple CSV file, but it needs to have quotes around every value (the system I'm going to be importing the file into absolutely requires this).

I see no option for selecting "Save With Quotes" or anything of the sort. I swear Excel used to do this automagically. Can someone steer me in the right direction here?

Thanks!

Jonathan

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
Hi Jonathan

Try setting the number format of the worksheet cells to a custom number format of:

\"General\";\"General\";\"General\";\"@\"

and then save down the file.

Oooh very clever. ;) Only problem appears to be that one column is a series of dates, and they have been converted to decimal numbers with this formatting applied. Any way to prevent that?

Thanks!
