Hello All,

I have a Word 2010 doc with a macro that edits the header to include the relevant project name based on user input. Once the header has been changed, I want to save the revised doc as a new file and then close the original version without saving the changes, leaving the file with the revised header open. I want to give the user the option of where to save the revised file, but provide a suggested name. Can anyone help me out? I can open a SaveAs dialog box, it's the part about closing/not saving the original doc while leaving the revised one open that's giving me trouble. Any help appreciated!

Why are you editing an existing document rather than using a template? What you're describing is better served by the use of a template.
