Hi Everyone, I just joined and it's my first post.
Just got a new computer with Ecxel 2016, was using Excel 2010 on old computer.

With 2010, when I take a .xls file and save as a binary spreadsheet, it highlights the name minus the .xls file extension. The new file becomes a .xlsb, easy, breezy, perfect!

With my new Excel 2016, I start out with a .xls file and do a Save As a Binary Worksheet, it just appends to the .xls (it doesn't highlight the name like 2010 did) so that the new file becomes a .xls.xlsb? I have to actually remove the .xls for it to save properly... Has it lost its smarts or do I have to adjust some kind of setting for this to work right?

Thought I was going nuts, but I'm not:-)
Could this be a bug?

Thanks in advance for your help!
