Finishing off budgets and just been asked can I split out salary in an entirely new way. I am hoping that there is a way I don't know about.

Thanks

Dara

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Welcome to the Forum!

Instead of =(B3*O3)+(B4*O4)

Try: =SUMPRODUCT(B3:B4,O3:O4)

Just adjust the row reference, 4, depending on the row number of your last employee.

Thanks Stephen. That worked great - now to try and develop it for when new employees and new jobs come on baord
