Hi

Has anyone been able to connect PowerQuery to Sage 50 2016 v22 (UK Version)?

I have the ODBC connections set up and they are working fine when I connect with my various applications and VBA code, however when I try and connect via PowerQuery I can see all of the Sage Tables, but when I try to drilldown into the tables I get the following error message.

Hi Dave

I've been trying the same with v23 and Excel 2016. No joy. Using Power Query's GUI, I can see the tables but when I click on them to preview the contents, I get 'table not found' error message. I can open Sage via Microsoft Query though (the old fashioned way). I have raised a query with the ODBC support team (due to respond today!), and I'll see what they have to say....

If you have any success, will you let me know?

Here's the response from Sage: "Thanks for your email. unfortunately we do not support the use of power pivots therefore have not tested them so we are unable to offer any assistance on these. the only was to get the information out of the ODBC is via MS Query."

Couldn't be less helpful. Looks like a dead end but perhaps you have had some luck otherwise?
