Hi,

Cross questioned excel forum ;

I have been using the following in power pivot to create a running total;

Excel Formula:
CALCULATE (  [total sales ], FILTER (ALL( TABLE [DATE ] ) , TABLE [DATE] < = MAX(TABLE [ DATE ] ) )

but when i try using this in power bi I just get the 'row' value? I have got it to work by adding an index column, so it's just the date that it doesn't recognize, I tried creating a calendar table using calendarauto which I linked but didn't make any difference.

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
I seem to have solved the problem by adding a Calendar table.
