Running Excel on a server

Hi all,

A client of mine who has developed an Excel analysis application would like to know whether it can be run on a server, for either internal intranet use by a client of his, or on an internet facing server.

Is this possible with Excel?

To the best of my knowledge, no. Everyone accessing the application would require Excel to be installed locally unless they were using Terminal Server or a similar product to remotely use the server. MS also does not recommend (or support) Office installations on a server as far as I know.
