Running clock

Hi I am looking for a macro/VBA code which will put a running clock into a cell showing the current time but I want it to run when the workbook is opened, I have looked and nothing I have found so far works for me I am fairly new to excel

Into module (VBA) on workbook put:

SchedRecalc = Now + TimeValue("00:00:01")

Application.OnTime EarliestTime:=SchedRecalc, Procedure:="Recalc", Schedule:=False
End Sub

into ThisWorkbook put:

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    Call SetTime
End Sub

always after open workbook in cell A1 on Sheet1 you will get running time.

Hi Many thanks works a treat I was trying to create a module for the second bit of code the realised I needed to put it directly into the workbook
