Hello, I'm very new at this so would be great to get help on this if possible. I have been maintaining a running balance sheet daily but it’s very manual and been trying to find a macro or formula that can make it more efficient.

Please see the attached sample file.

This file is being saved down daily by date. So I will open yesterday’s date file and save for today’s date and populate data in Sheet1.
In sheet1 – I will update figures in row 4 (from B4 to Q4) from then, in sheet2 I will copy and paste formulas from M2:M9 over to current date as value i.e. column H will represent figures for the date today.

Wondering if there’s a better way to automate this with a macro button? And if possible, prompt a message box that if I try to close the file it should look at sheet1 in cell C7 that ONLY if the figure is “positive” then message box to ask me if I have copy the formulas for the running balance in sheet2 and if negative then do nothing?

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you very much in advance.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.

Ignore the above, I've worked out the most efficient way to do this.
