I've been using a financial analysis program, LseMod, for many years with xp sp(3) and excel 2003. I just bought a new computer with windows 7 and excel 7, and now the program won't work and starts with the error message "Run-time error '1004': Unable to get the DrawingObjects property of the Worksheet Class" It supposed to be backwards compatable, and if I knew what this error message was refering to I think I could correct it and it should work. The program developer states that the program is fully compatable with xl 7. Also, after I close the error window, I'm able to imput data into the program, but when I check to view the results, there aren't any numbers. As you can probably tell, I'm not an expert, but the program is really expensive and I use in for my business. Lastly, the program comes with it's own navagational tool bar which is supposed to be located in the new add-ins tab, but it dosen't show up (there's no add-in tab). Thank you.

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
Yes, well you will have to take this up with the developer, as none of us will have a clue as to what the macros are inside this tool.

The message means that the macro is referring to an object in the spreadsheet, but can't find it.

Which version of the software do you have? The developer's (awful) website suggests versions 12.7 onward are compatible with 2007. (I assume you meant Excel 2007, not 7!)
Also, do you have Service Pack 2 installed for Office 2007?

You're right, it's an aweful site...it's a long story, but my version of the program is 7.2, I know it's old, I just thought that if it worked with xp/xl 2003, it should also work with 7/xl 2007? Unfortunately it's one of the better programs and it will cost as much as a new computer to upgrade :(

Unfortunately the whole charting/drawing engine was changed with Office 2007 and it's not always backward compatible without a few tweaks. That is probably the reason for your DrawingObjects error.
