Rows again .

Hi all , im running excel 07 and 97 for access , ive just read thru past posts to change settings to get my max million rows in 2007 , wasnt able to see any clear cut answers .
Could someone please tell me if its as easy as reloading office pro 2007 or something similar , also if i do this would it delete my years of work . I notice that i can only save in 97 or 03 format , doesnt mention 07 at all , why not ? .
