Rounding to the nearest 0.25?

Hi

I am dealing with prices that move in increments of 0.25, ie, 3434.25 / 3434.50 / 3434.75 / 3435 etc

If I am given a number of say 53.28, and I need it to be rounded to the nearest 0.25, so 53.25 (so that it is more usable in further calculations with my numbers)

How do I round that up or down accordingly?

=MROUND(A1,0.25)

It's giving me the #VALUE! error message.

The cell I'm referencing contains the number: 53.28

This was the formula: =MROUND(L14, 0.25)

Sounds like the value in L14 is text & not a number.
What does

=isnumber(L14)

return?

So yes, just text.

Should I convert those cells to "number"?
