Hello,

conditional format at the moment: =D8>=ROUNDUP($A8,0)/4

I would like to make it percentage but to round to a whole percent down if contains .4 or lower, and round up if contains .5 or more.

im guessing something along the lines of

=if(D8>=ROUNDUP($A8,0)/100*25....

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
It is not clear to me which cell contains the percentage that you want to round. And it is not clear me in what form that percentage is presented.

Suppose A8 contains a true percentage; for example, 12.34%, which would look like 0.1234 if you used the Number format. Then ROUND(A8,2) rounds to an "integer" percentage, that is 12% or 0.12.

If your cell presents the percentage a different way, please tell us how. To avoid ambiguity, tell us how the "percentage" looks when formatted as Number with sufficient decimal places, and how you interpret it as a percentage. For example, some people multiply the true percentage by 100 so it is actually the number 12.34, not a percentage. (Bad choice, IMHO.)

apologies joe,

the cell D8 does not contain a percentage it is a number (7) and A8 is a number (3). The conditional format on A8 is based on a percentage of D8. In this case 25% that's why I divided by 4 initially. Ideal format is 0-10% A8 is green, 11-24% amber and 25% or more red.
