Is it possible to have a rounding formula reference another cell to determine how many decimal places to round?
For example:
Column 1 would be list of items.
Column 2 would be a value/total associated with each item.
Column 3 would list the unit of measure applicable to each item & value in column 1 & 2. such as Square feet, Cubic Yards, Each,Tons, Acres, etc...
Column 4 would list the number of decimal places applicable to the units of measure such as: Values for items to be measured in square feet need to round to 2 decimals, values for items measured in Tons should round to 1 decimal, values for items to be measured in Cubic Yards should be rounded to 3 decimals etc...

I basically want the rounding formula to reference the column of designated decimal places 0,1,2,3 to determine how many digits to round to.

Haven't been able to figure this one out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
