Hi, I wonder if anyone can kindly help us on this issue?

We have a Monthly Camp Roster Sheet, [R] = resident in camp / [Out] = resident left / and [In] = resident returned.
However, our second sheet (the one we need linked), is occupancy in the room, which shows; 1 = resident in / or 0 = resident out.
How can we link this from the Roster sheet, so that any time during the month when she/he is [R or In] - it shows as [1] on the occupancy Sheet? But when the roster sheet has an [OUT] in the cell the occupancy shows a zero?

If Jim has 16 days as [R] on the rosters sheet, it should always shown as [1] on the occupancy sheet. As soon as Bill leaves and we input [OUT], automatically the occupancy cell should change to [0] and so on when he returns.

Would really appreciate guidance and help on this thank you so much.
