How do I show the "cell data range used" in a formula in an adjacent cell in excel ie =SUM(D68:D71) and I want the adjacent cell to show: D68:D71
Many thanks

Excel Facts

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
For that specific example,

To get the entire formula:
Excel Formula:
=FORMULATEXT(A1)

To get just the cell range:
Excel Formula:
=TEXTBEFORE(TEXTAFTER(FORMULATEXT(A1),"("),")")
