Hello all,

I need a formula that returns the value of a cell in another worksheet by specifying its column (e.g. Calculation_Sheet!W:W) and it's row (e.g. 6).

The value to be returned will always be a number (integer).

Can anyone suggest the best way please?

I have spent a few hours trying the suggestions found on google to no avail.

Excel Facts

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
@Tetra201's suggestion allows for the deletion or insertion of rows in 'Calculation_Sheet' and still return the value of W6 from that sheet.
If it is possible that columns might also be deleted/inserted and you still want whatever is in W6 then try
Excel Formula:
=INDIRECT("Calculation_Sheet!W6")

If we are on the wrong track about what you are trying to achieve, then please clarify further.
