Good day,
I have a form linked to a table of persons & contacts -all is well.
I have a command button on the form that is linked to a query that that
brings up a search box which allows me to search for people by partial last
names. Works great. Except the results are returned in a table, not in the
form. How can I get the results in this form or any other form?
Any help is appreciated.

TIA-
Jay

Repeat Last Command

Hey Jay

You could create a form from the query and show the form when you click the button.

Select the query, right click and SaveAs a form. then name the form and use the DoCmd.OpenForm command in the first forms code module to view the new form.

Gentlemen, I read your question and answer. I posted a question myself and the answer I was looking for took place between both of you.
Could either one of you
I figured out how to have a single combo box on a form, select the drop down and have to scroll all the way through the whole thing to get to what I am looking for. After selecting it the query is shown in a data sheet view only.
I would like to be able to enter a partial description and find all data containing the string of text, as well as have it displayed using a justified format. I am still using Access 97 but I believe your process will still work.
Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.
