Dear all,

I am having problems with returning the day of the year.
I have tried a number of ways.

This formula keeps reoccurring but it does not work for me.
=A1-DATE(YEAR(A1),1,0) with todays date in A1.

I am using Excel for Mac 2011.

Can anyone help me?

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Hi

I used in A1:

=TODAY()

and in B1 your formula:

=A1-DATE(YEAR(A1),1,0)

and got the result 39.

What is the result you get using the same setup?
