Return column number from a table of data

Hi

I have a table of data containing results from a Temperature uniformity survey. I have extracted the highest and lowest temperatures for each row in the table but I also need which column those values are from. I need the column number to return a value between 1-9. So, if the highest value is in A10, I need the formula result to be 1. if the highest value is in B10 , I need the formula result to be 2... ect

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.

You can use xmatch for that like
Excel Formula:
=xmatch(j10,a10:k10)
where J10 holds the max value for that row.
