Dear Great Minds of Excel,

Is there a way to return the format of a column, using vba, via a message box. I have tried GetFormat() but no luck.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
How about something like:
Code:
MsgBox Range("A1").NumberFormat

Joe4,

Thanks a lot.

I did it this way instead.

Code:
ColFmt01 = Worksheets("WhichPage").Columns(1).NumberFormat
This allowed me to later use vba to format a column in a vba generated report. Yours helped push me in the right direction. Now on to the next challenge.
