Retreive Record and then Update it

I have a User Form to add records to a worksheet, however I now find a need to retrieve a record from the "Database Sheet" and allow a user to change information and then update the database sheet. I'm not very good in VBA. but I think I have enough knowledge (Self taught) to modify someone else's code to my specs, if someone has some VBA code to retrieve a record and then write the changes back out. Any help anyone could give would be great.
