One of my tasks is to update data which will also update some pivot tables associated with the data. The Pivot table breaks down the data into Quarters and months by selecting these in the columns area of the PT design. The problem is that after refreshing, I have to manually go in and add the Quarters and months each time there's a refresh. The formatting is kept intact by the Preserving Cell formatting on update option, is there a way to ensure that a pivot table's structure is kept intact?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
You need to give us some visibility over what it is doing and what it should be doing.
Also are you using the Date > Group function to group the dates into Quarters and Months ?
