Retaining Focus on Active Workbook

Anyone notice with the last few versions of Excel the active workbook can lose focus and activate a previous workbook if you open a form in the backend, either from a hidden ap, addin or ribbon? No matter how I store the active workbook or window, try to close it if it is not that nothing seems to work predictably, like it's a Microsoft bug. IE you have a workbook open, hit a keystroke to open some addin form or backend tool you made and it jumps to another workbook. In fact minimizing that workbook is the only way to open your form in the doc you were in when you hit the keystroke. Doesnt always happen, but a userform should pop over the visible workbook. Anyone know a definite fix for keeping focus? I think it Office 2016 on. So that means 2019, 365, etc. Thanks in advance
