Hi,
Is it possible to manually format a pivot table in such a way that the formatting is persistent? I'm using Excel 2002 and am not 100% happy with any of the built-in formatting options.

Thanks,
Doug.

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Have you tried turning off the Autoformat option under Table Options?

It depends on which formatting you mean, but for stuff beyond field number formats, I prefer to use code to reapply it when the table is refreshed.

I'm thinking more about the fonts, colours etc. I'd read somewhere that you had to use the autoformats to retain the formatting but I've since found that there is a 'preserve formatting' tick box in Table Options.

Thanks for the replies,
Doug.
