Restricting Cells

Does anyone know if it is possible to restrict cells so they have to be filled in?

For instance, I have data that is filled in from A8:L8. If A8 is filled in, I would like excel to require that B8, C8, etc. be filled in as well. Then the same for A9 and so on. Is this possible?

Thanks for any help!

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Can you provide more info on the type of data you wish to store.

Are you going to allow blank cells? How versed are you in VBA?

I have drop down menus to select for each cell. Each individual record is to be stored horizontally (A-L). The data ranges from names to dates to times. I want to make sure each category of data is filled in (A-L). If A is filled in, I don't want any blank cells from B-L. I hope I answered your question. Sorry if I repeated myself at all.

I am slightly familiar with VBA.

Thanks!
