Hello Everyone

is there a way in Excel to restrict the fill option to only do Fill Series when users drag the fill option. I know the users select 2 numbers and it will auto fill series but not all users are aware of that. I am trying to make it easy where if user input number 7 in cell A5 and drag the fill it will automatically do Fill series instead of Copy Cells. In others word disable Copy cells option when drag Fill down.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
From what I have seen and experienced, there does not appear to be any way to change the default.
However, if you click and drag using the right mouse button, it will prompt you on whether you want to Copy Cells or Fill Series.
