I would like to restrict the data in a specific column to a date in the following format;
dd/mm/yy hh:mm
So if anything other than that format is entered in the cell it should display an error message.

Excel Facts

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Hi Thapelo,

Not sure if this is the only possible solution, but I would approach this issue by doing the following:
1) Select the whole column (e.g. "A"), Custom Cell Format (Ctrl+1) -> Type: dd/mm/yy hh:mm
2) Again, select the whole column (e.g. "A") -> Data Validation -> Custom -> =ISNUMBER(A1)
