as you can see i have a table in which i have employee names & id, then i have columns where i have typed month, week, and the date- I have this so i can track where my resources are working and should be working to make the project finish on time.

I am using
Excel Formula:
=COUNTIF(Sheet2!$D$7:$D$899," ")
as to calculate the number of employees working on which projects on which day in a different sheet.
my problem is i have to handle 800+ employees and an sheet of entire year so i think writing the formula each time very inconvenient and time consuming.

I was wondering if there was a way i can just select an entire column and have its data counted with respect to the project numbers available
