I have a shape on a worksheet.

The worksheet contains 5 columns of data, ranging from column A to column E.

My shape starts in column A but is wider than 5 columns.

How can I use VBA to resize it, so it fits exactly in columns A to E, whilst preserving the lock ratio?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Run this code:

VBA Code:
Sub ResizeShape()
  Dim sh As Shape

  For Each sh In ActiveSheet.Shapes
    sh.Left = Range("A1").Left
    sh.Width = Range("F1").Left
  Next
End Sub

Solution
Run this code:

VBA Code:
Sub ResizeShape()
  Dim sh As Shape

  For Each sh In ActiveSheet.Shapes
    sh.Left = Range("A1").Left
    sh.Width = Range("F1").Left
  Next
End Sub
Thanks

I just figured this out:

Code:
    Dim i As Double, w As Double

    For i= 1 To 5

        w = w + ws.Columns(i).Width

    Next i

    Shapes(1).Width = w
