Does anyone know the SQL command to reset the auto number? I have deleted records and now want the number to start from one again not, say, 154?

I have tried an append query but would like the code

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
You cannot reset Autonumbers from code.
Depending on the version of Access you can reset it by compacting the database.
See This Article for more details

Autonumbers should really be used as unique identifiers for a record and their actual value does not matter. If you need a number for an Invoice or something it is best to create your own. see This Article for more info.
The problem with using Autonumbers for sequential numbering is that you can easily lose numbers, by cancelling a record, or a system crash after data entry has started.

Thanks, been raking my brains trying to figure it out, I am fairly new to SQL so don't know the limitations yet.
