When filling in a form on the database, I have a required field that needs filling in. If this isnt filled the following error appears
'You must enter a value in the 'tbl_Customers.Status' field'

Is there a way to change this error message to:
'Please enter a Customer Status'

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
Generally you will write your own field validation in the form, in the form before update event I think, to intercept this problem before it gets that far. However, you could also try adding a validation text in the table and that might be a simple fix here.
