I had used a template to make my first version of a database. Now that i am updateing it to the version 2, I have decided to track the events by Quarters instead of days. All of my reports are derived off of event days and now only quarters.

Does anyone have any recommendation on how to do this update?

Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
If you reports ae driven of queries that reference dates, you could change the SQL of your query to return the date fields in Quarter format by using:

Select Format([yourdatefield],"Q") as yournewdate
from yourtable
