I have a fields in one of my table called RequestSentTo(text), RequestID(Number) (which is the primary key) and dateRequested(Date/Time). In the RequestSent to field their is about ten different people names. I am wanting to run a report that tell me the number of times that person recived a request in a certain month. What would be the best way to do this?

My initatial think was to use a query but i can find a function that will add this up.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
In your query, try viewing the totals, group by the person and then count the requests (by changing the "Total" to "Count" under another field such as the request id).
HTH, Andrew. :)
