report prints blanks on preview command

A few of the reports in one of my database print blank pages when I try to preview them. It's rather annoying to have the printer spitting out page after page when all I wanted to do was preview!
Anyone ever heard of this and/or how to fix it?

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Are you accessing the reports through code (eg a command button)? I so, there's a DoCmd parameter to just view the preview rather than automatically print.

I do sometimes open it with the DoCmd.OpenReport "reportName", acPreview, but in this case, I'm just in report design and trying to preview it. I checked to make sure there's no code in the report's code page in case that was causing the problem, but there's nothing there.

I still haven't been able to figure this one out.
Does anyone know of a really good Access message board where I might pose my question?

I tried creating a new chart report (in a different database than the one that's giving me problems) to see if I could duplicate the glitch. The same thing happened! When I hit the Preview button from design mode, the report shows on the screen but a blank page spits out of the printer at the same time. One blank page I can handle, but I'm trying to print a form letter in the other database, and it spits out one blank page for each record I've got a letter for!

You can try the usenet newsgroups.
I've gotten a number of answers from there.

Your problem sounds very strange.

microsoft.public.access.* (look for appropriate)

Yes, it is a strange problem. I've been working with Access for years and this has never happened to me before. It's very frustrating.

I'll try the newsgroups, thanks!
