Hi
I'm using a statement:
var= replace(string, thingtofindstring, replacestring,1)
which is suppose to go through the string and find and replace the thingtofindstring with the replacestring 1 time. There are multiple occurrences of the thingtofindstring in the string. Why isn't the 1 working because it is replacing all occurrences and I can't get it to stop.

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Hi Garyd1234,

I think you need to adjust your syntax..

Try:
var = replace([yourfield],"ReplaceMe","WithMe!",1,1)

The fourth argument specifies on what character to begin replacing the specified string. The fifth argument specifies how many times to replace the string when it occurs.
