I have a single column with more than 200.000 cells. In each cell there is a small image obtained from a website. There are four different images: red, orange, yellow
q2.gif
and green
q1.gif
. What I need is to replace all equal images by an equal string, such as
q4.gif
=Q4,
q3.gif
=Q3 and so on, or, at least, place a string for each image type in an adjacent cell

Any advice will be very welcome. Thank you in advance.

Jorge.

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Hello

Can you upload a small sample in Google drive or OneDrive or Dropbox or similar?

10 lines suffice.

Hi Wigi,

Thanks in advance. I've just sent you a small example of the kind of images I'd like to replace by text.

In fact it could be explained with this example: we have a column with flags of four countries in jpg. The question is, how can I automate replacing the jpg for the Belgian flag by the text "Belgium", the jpg for UK flag by the text United Kingdom and so on.

Thanks in advance.

Best,
Jorge.
