I am looking for help with macro code please:

I have a spreadsheet and in column A there are multiple company id numbers and in column C there are different employee names. I would like to take the name in column C and drop it in column A so for example: If Column A has number 12345 and Column C has the name Jane Doe then replace the number of 12345 with name Jane Doe in Column A.

Excel Facts

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
I am sure I am missing something.

To get the results copy column C and paste it in column A.

There are different numbers in column A and different employee names in Column C. I do not want to just do a copy and pasta as I only need to change the data in Column A if it equals a certain number and Column C equals a certain name.

You would need a list, perhaps on another sheet, that contains the "certain numbers" in column A and the corresponding names in column B.
