Hello,
Is it possible to replace the text in a cell with the same text after you drag and drop that cell to an adjacent cell?
For example replace Unit 1 in cell P2 after I drag it into M1?

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
How exactly are you "dragging and dropping"?
It sounds like you are doing a "Cut & Paste" when you really just want to do a "Copy".
You can do a Copy with CTRL+C then CTRL+V, or just using the mouse, right-click and select Copy, then go to the cell, right-click and select Paste.

Ah, that explains it. I am using Excel 2010 here at work and do not have that option.
But that begs the question, why are you using "drag and drop", if you don't really want to "drag and drop"?
It sounds like you really want to "copy", not "move" (which is what "drag and drop" does).
