Hello, I am trying to repeat a formula across X cells, where X is a variable defined in another cell.

For example, in the image below I am investing $100 evenly over 4 years. I want to automate the sheet so that if I change J1 to, say, 5, the sheet will automatically populate the formula over five cells A2 to E2.

Thank you!

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
