Reordering data duplicated across two worksheets?

I've put a basic formula on Sheet2's A and B columns so they show exactly the same data as columns A and B in Sheet1. But Sheet 2 now won't let me sort the same data from smallest to largest; it will only show the same order sequence as Sheet1. Any idea how to get round this?
