Hi guys,

I'm creating a spreadsheet for remuneration and there are three ranges:

0 - 20,000
20, 001 - 40, 000
40, 001 -

They each have a percentage attached to them:

0 - 20,000 = 40%
20, 001 - 40, 000 = 45%
40, 001 - = 50%

What formula would I input so that when I get a number i.e. 25,000 I can put it in and it can automatically give me a percentage of the remuneration

Any help is very much appreciated,
THANK YOU

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
Build a table as shown below and enter data in D1. Formula as shown in E1

OK I tried doing this but it still didn't seem to work :(

Basically all I want to do is create a formula so I can input a figure and it multiplies by the percentage in that range

Is there some 'IF' formula that I could use basically saying if the total earned is between say the 20,001 to 40,000 range it is multiplied by 0.45?

I.e. if someone inputs the figure 30,000 it will automatically show up as 13,500?

THANK YOU
